Tanesha Thompson is the Family & Community Partnership Coordinator for Growing Futures Early Education Center. She has worked within the Head Start arena for nearly 7 years. Tanesha now supervises the entire Family Support Team including advocates and educators working to provide a holistic approach that guides families to become goal-oriented and self-sufficient. After spending her entire professional career working with families, students and teams in school and social service settings, Tanesha truly knows how to get people involved—and it’s not rocket science! It’s simply how well you connect with the heart-beating people you’re trying to help and communicate your understanding back to them. Some of the trainings Tanesha has presented on are: Child Development, Parent Engagement and Team Building. Tanesha has a lot on her plate outside of working for Head Start. She is an active member of 3 service organizations, works within the PTA and serves as a Board of Director for the National Alumni Association of her university. She is married and a mom to a very head-strong 7-year-old little girl.
