Spring 2023 is an exciting time for the Kansas City International Academy School student athletics program! The KCIA Phoenix have embarked their inaugural interscholastic Track and Field season. The team is led by Coach Michael Goodwin, Coach Briana Paxton, and Coach Megan Jefferson. In their breakout meet, the team is off to a tremendous start with some athletes posting first place wins in their first ever track contest! Student-athletes are competing in discus, shot put, long jump, hurdles, relays, and running events from the 100m dash – 1600m dash. The coaches look forward to continuing to witness runners growing in technique, power, strength, and endurance over the course of this season and beyond!
