The boy’s basketball team at KCIA consisted of fourteen teammates with only six of the young men being in the 8th grade. The team worked extremely hard to build a strong foundation and showed tremendous growth from the coaching expertise of Coach Goodwin and Coach McCay. Each young man learned what type of discipline it takes to become a great basketball player by showing up daily to practice, believing in themselves and their teammates, and valuing what hard work and dedication can do for a team. They scrimmaged weekly and took on a very tough Brookside team to wrap up their season. The young Phoenix team performed well and looks forward to seeing a great group of players return to build on their success next season.
