I’m Mr. Bates- a 2nd year Social Studies educator at Kansas City International Academy. I acquired my undergraduate degree in business from UMKC in 2020, then received my Masters in Teaching from UMKC in 2022. I spend most of my free time playing video games, hanging out with my cats, golfing, playing soccer, or traveling. In my class, students learn about a variety of social studies topics, including modern critical issues, government, and important historical events. I am so excited to teach 7th and 8th grade social studies this year, which will primarily focus on American History.
