Hi, I’m Andge Lupton, and I’m a special education teacher at KCIA. I have a BA in English-Creative Writing and Journalism and an MA in Special Education from UMKC, as well as an MA in Women’s History from Sarah Lawrence College. With over 20 years of experience in education, I’ve had roles as a self-contained K-2 Autism paraprofessional and teacher, a K-5 Resource Teacher, a Manager of Special Education, a Special Education Program Coordinator for a teacher residency program, and a Special Education Auditor for a national virtual school company. This school year, I’m excited to be back in a physical school setting, building relationships with students and helping them reach their full potential. At home, I have twin 13-year-olds and two bonus kids, aged 17 and 14, from my partner, Emily. In my free time, I love attending live music events, woodworking, and cooking up delicious meals.
