Emily Gideon – Math

My name is Emily Gideon, but will be changing to Emily Brown on September 25th! This will be my fourth year teaching 6th grade math. I earned my middle school math degree at UCM and graduated in December of 2016. For a semester I was a full-time substitute teacher for all grades in the Warrensburg school district. To further my education, I recently graduated in May with my Masters in Teaching English as a Second Language!  A little about myself is that my fiance and I have been together since 2014; we own a home and have two fur babies. Our first is our cat named Tina who has been with us for 3 years and during the quarantine, we rescued a puppy who we named Goose! I have gotten to travel all around the United States, but my favorite places are Bryce Canyon, Washington D. C., and Yellowstone. My favorite food is potatoes cooked in every way and my go-to drink is Dr. Pepper. I can’t wait to get to know my new students and for another great year at KCIA!
