My name is Briana Paxton and I am the 7th grade science teacher here at Kansas City International Academy. This is my fourth year as a teacher and I received a Bachelors of Science from the University of Kansas where I studied Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and graduated in the spring of 2020. I then became a part of the Teach for America program to help fight for educational equity in the Kansas City Metro area. I just finished my Masters Degree in Secondary Science Education in 2022. In my free time I love to garden, bake, run, and spend time with my family and friends. I am looking forward to coaching our cross country and track team this year!
