Brad Sweeten – Resource Paraprofessional

Hello from Papa Sweets! It has been a great pleasure to have spent my career in the field of education. I have worked every job in the educational field from custodian, paraprofessional, classroom teacher, coach, and activities/athletic director. I am retired from the Center School District where the last position I held was District Activity/Athletic Director. I was fortunate enough to be inducted into the Center Athletic Hall of Fame this past June. I have a lifetime K-6 Missouri teaching certificate, a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from Ottawa University, a Masters Degree in Athletic Administration from William Woods University, and I am a Certified Master Athletic Administrator through the NIAAA. None of this would have been possible without the support of my wonderful wife of 42 years, Jeannie. We have one daughter, Elizabeth, son-in-law Cory, and our amazing grandchildren Charlie (4) and Carly (2). They live on a farm in Northern Iowa and grow corn, soybeans and raise cattle. At home, I spend quality time in our garden, I love to fish, and enjoy feeding the birds. Jeannie and I spend many evenings sitting on our deck watching the trains go by. I am looking forward to another great year (year 4) at KCIA.
