My name is Shelle Verkler and I am thrilled to begin my fifth year at KCIA as our Middle School Counselor. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Kansas State University and a Masters Degree in School Counseling from Emporia State University. I worked as a counselor in the Center School District for 15 years serving grades 6-12, but before that I taught Career and Technical Education for several years. Besides my career my faith and family are very important to me. I am married with three children ages 18, 17, and 14. I enjoy exercising every day and traveling with my family and friends as much as possible.
