My name is Abbie Wyatt and this is my fourth year at Kansas City International Academy as an Elementary Instructional Coach. I earned my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood General and Special Education with an endorsement in teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Kansas. I started my career in education teaching English to students in South Korea. I then taught first grade in the Kansas City Kansas Public School District while I was working towards my Master’s Degree in Elementary Reading. After completing my Master’s Program, I became a Reading Specialist in the Blue Valley School District and led my school’s literacy intervention program while coaching teachers in all areas of literacy. Instructional coaching is my passion and I look forward to continuing to learn from our talented staff this year! On a personal note, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband and son that was born in November of 2022.
