Hi there! My name is Katherine (or Kat for short) and this is my 6th year teaching 8th grade math at KC International Academy. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor’s degree in Middle School Math Education in 2018. I also earned my Master’s in Literacy and Language with an emphasis on TESOL education from Park University. KCIA is like a second home to me, so in the off chance you can’t find me here, I currently reside in North Kansas City with my partner Marshall, a black lab named Hopper, and three cats. In my freetime I enjoy reading, playing video games, and watching subpar reality TV (really all TV if I’m being honest). I also love spending time with friends–a lot of who happen to also be my co-workers at KCIA–and traveling anywhere and everywhere. I am so excited for this school year! I feel like we can accomplish anything and are going to make amazing growth! I can’t wait!
