My name is Madison Smith and this is my eighth year in education. I began my teaching career co-teaching second graders at a nearby charter school after graduating with my Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Kansas. After, I taught second grade again for four years at a different charter school. In May of 2021, I graduated from the University of Central Missouri with my MSE in Curriculum and Instruction, then in May of 2022 I graduated with my MSE in English as a Second Language at UCM as well. This is my second year at KCIA as a fourth grade teacher! While I am not at school, I like to read, spend time with my friends and family, travel and spoil my cats and my dog. I got married in 2021 to my husband Tyler, who is a third grade teacher. I am very excited for a new school year at KCIA!
