I live in Liberty, MO with my husband Jeff. Jeff is a Fraud Officer at US Bank. We have been married for 29 years. We have one daughter, Brooke who is 26 years old and is an Executive Assistant at Ericsson. I was born and raised in the Kansas City area. I graduated from Liberty High School in May 1990. I received a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education in May 1994 at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO. Then in May 2002, I received my Masters in Collaborative Teaching from Graceland University. This is my 30th year in education. I taught 4th grade for three years at Climax Springs School District which is near the Lake of the Ozarks. I also worked in the Liberty School district as a Paraprofessional for 1 year. This is my 26th year at KCIA where I’ve taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade. My hobbies include Taekwondo and traveling. I am an instructor at Pak’s Academy in Liberty where I have a first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. My favorite places to travel are Walt Disney World in Florida and taking cruises to various places like Alaska and Dominican Republic. I’ve truly enjoyed my time at KCIA and I’m excited to teach 5th grade Math this year!
