My name is Sharita Wright, and this is my 5th year in education. I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. I graduated from Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi in 2017. I have a bachelor’s degree of social work and I am currently pursuing a master’s in Teaching from the University of Missouri Kansas City. I’ve spent two years providing attendance, academic, and behavioral interventions to high school students and two years providing literacy interventions to elementary students. In May of 2023, I completed my first year of student teaching with The Kansas City Teacher Residency at Crossroads Academy Charter Schools. In my free time, I love to travel across the United States, read and watch a variety of movies and books, and spend time with family. I am excited to serve in 1st grade at KCIA and I look forward to meeting all of my students!
