My name is Debbie Parnacott, and this is my 19th year in education. I grew up in in the Kansas City area and have lived here my entire life. After earning my Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from William Jewell, I fell in love with teaching while working at Job Corps. I then started in public schools and completed my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. After teaching for 16 years, I wanted to help students in new ways, so I moved out of the classroom to a Process Coordinator role. This allows me to support teachers and students in new ways. Over the past 2 years, I earned my Education Specialist degrees in Special Education Administration and Educational Diagnostician. This year is my first year at KCIA, and I am so happy to be part of this Phoenix community! I love to play video games, read, and I’m learning to crochet. A big part of my free time is spent watching soccer-I’m a huge Sporting Kansas City and Current fan! My family includes my grown children Amanda and Levi, along with my 3 grandchildren (Miles-14, Sophia-11, Josie-coming soon!).
