Hi! I’m Mrs. Diaz, formerly known as Ms. Throckmorton! I just got married and I’m so excited for my 6th year at KCIA! During my time at KCIA I have been an ELL Specialist, 3rd Grade Teacher, 1st Grade Teacher, and Special Education Teacher. My teaching career began in 2018 after receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and certifications to teach Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education from Northwest Missouri State University. I also have a Master’s Degree from Missouri Western State University in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. In my free time I enjoy trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time outdoors with my husband, family, and friends. I have two dogs, Calvin and Ivy. I love taking them on adventures with me!
