My name is Isabella Orozco. I am one of the Special Education teachers at Kansas City International Academy. I was a student teacher here for the Spring of 2020 and this year will be my first year as a certified teacher. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in K-12 Cross-Categorical Special Education at the University of Central Missouri. During my time at UCM, I participated in the Marching Mules band and many programs for First-Generation college students. I was given the opportunity to learn about KCIA through my undergraduate research project sponsored by the Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program. I hope to attain a Master’s Degree in English Language Learners Education in the near future. Since I am bilingual, I am excited to be able to connect with families in a special way. I am a very family oriented person so I spend most of my free time with family and friends. I look forward to a wonderful first year of teaching at KCIA!
