My name is Abbi Harkness, and this is my 2nd year at KCIA and in 6th grade ELA. I am born and raised in KC, and recently moved back! I graduated from University of Nebraska- Lincoln with a degree in Global Studies and Human Rights. I have been working in education since my graduation but shifted recently to become a classroom teacher. I am also currently working on my Masters in Education! I have worked for City Year in Denver working in with 8th graders, as well as TAPIF teaching English to High School students in France. In my free time, I spend lots of time reading and finding new recipes and dishes to make at home.
