My name is Walt Brown. This is my first year at KCIA and I will be teaching music. I previously have worked at in St Louis as well as Hogan Prep and Pathway Academy also as a music teacher and this year will be my 12th year in education. I earned my bachelors degree in music education in 2006 from UMKC and my masters degree in jazz studies from the University of Cincinnati in 2008. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, playing my trumpet, and watching sports. I’m really looking forward to making music here at KCIA.
