My name is Briana Alvey and I am the 7th grade science teacher here at Kansas City International Academy. This is my third year as a teacher and I received a Bachelors of Science from the University of Kansas where I studied Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and graduated in the spring of 2020. I then became a part of the Teach for America program to help fight for educational equity in the Kansas City Metro area. I just finished my Masters Degree in Secondary Science Education. In my free time I love to garden, bake, and spend time with my family and friends. I look forward to having a great full year in person and coaching our track team!
