Eligibility Requirements:
- Students must reside within KCPS district boundaries
- Kindergarten students must be 5 years of age by July 31, 2025
- Pre-K students must be 4 years of age by July 31, 2025
- KCIA’s grade span is Pre-K to Eighth grade
Lottery Preferences and Weights
- Applicant has siblings currently enrolled and attending at KCIA
- Applicant has additional siblings applying to KCIA
- Applicant is the child of an employee and all eligibility requirements are met
- Applicant is a refugee, is homeless or has been homeless within the preceding six months

Each year in the spring, our current families engage in a re-enrollment process. This allows us to confirm which families are returning to the school in the following academic year – and to assess what spots are ‘open’ for new students.
