- Community Eligibility Provision
- Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Snack Program – KC International Academy receives an annual grant from the USDA to provide a fresh fruit and vegetable snack 2-3 times per week in addition to breakfast and lunch meals. Students are offered a variety of fruits and vegetables throughout the school year. The goals of this grant are to expand the variety of fruits and vegetables children experience, increase children’s fruit and vegetable consumption and to make a difference in children’s diets to impact their present and future health. KCIA is excited to be a grant recipient and to work toward these goals. TRANSLATION SERVICES
At KCIA, we determine how and when to partner with our in-house Translators based on what we know about the family and the student and their overall needs within our community. At times, our translators are present with families during school meetings or appointments. At other times, our Translators assist directly in the classroom with students. Ultimately, they support KCIA in offering personalized services to families to ensure ALL are served and welcomed here.

Our team of Family Resource Coordinators are social workers that aim to support students and their families in accessing resources and services such as our Food Pantry, Caring Closet, and more.

FOSTER CARE POINT OF CONTACT
The Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA) requires that school districts and child welfare agencies collaborate to develop and implement clear written procedures governing how transportation will be provided, arranged, and funded to maintain children in foster care in their school of origin, when it’s in the child’s best interest, during the time students are in foster care.
