My Name is Fernando Navarro and I am the music teacher in Middle School at Kansas City International Academy. This will be my 6th year working here. I began my career as music teacher in Guadalajara, Jalisco in Mexico in 2004. In USA, I have the experience working in Colorado and Missouri. In Colorado, I taught Music class from K-8 and High School Band Class. Moving to Missouri was one of the greatest decisions because I started working with a lot of great students at KCIA. I have a degree in Music and Composition from the University of Guadalajara. My master’s degree is in TESOL (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages). This summer, I finished my Specialist Degree in Leadership and Administration (K-12). During my free time, I love spending time with my children and my wife. Also, I write music that I’ve published on different audio streaming services. I’m looking forward to keep working with my middle schoolers this year!!!
