My name is Courtney Minnich, and this is my 12th year in education. I began my career in 2010 teaching English to students in Guatemala. I then taught 3rd grade for six years in Liberty, Missouri. In 2017, I came to Kansas City International Academy and spent a year as an ELL Specialist, a year as an Elementary Instructional Coach, and this is now my fourth year as Assistant Principal. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in K-6 Education from Kansas State University and I am also licensed to teach K-12 English as a Second Language. I earned my Master’s Degree in Administration from Northwest Missouri State in 2014. This spring I will graduate from Northwest Missouri State with my Education Specialist Degree in Superintendency. Spending time with my family and friends is a big part of my life and I also enjoy reading, cooking, walking my dog, traveling, exploring Kansas City, and cheering for the CHIEFS! I am looking forward to a great year at KCIA!
