My name is Baleigh Jordan and I’m spending my first year with the Kansas City Teacher Residency working at KCIA in 8th grade ELA. I’m honored and overjoyed to work with the accomplished faculty and students at KCIA! I earned my bachelor’s degree in History and Gender Studies with a minor in English from Saint Louis University in 2019. I’m currently earning a Masters in Education with a concentration in curriculum and instruction from UMKC. As a resident at KCIA, I hope to make meaningful connections with teachers and students, and to share my love of exploring and creating fictional worlds with the kids. At home, a typical day consists of hanging out with my two cats, Cheeto and Frito, cozying up to a good book, and trying out new recipes from the team at NYT Cooking. I’m so looking forward to an awesome year at KCIA!
