Elementary Student Council

Student Council is an organization of students who work towards improving their school and community. Elementary Student Council is made up of two representatives from each 4th and 5th grade classroom.  The Student Council meets twice a month to coordinate school and community projects.

In order to be a part of Elementary Student Council, a student must:

  • be a good role model
  • demonstrate leadership qualities
  • maintain good citizenship (no office referrals)
  • maintain good attendance (few absences and tardies)

Student Council members are responsible for encouraging students and staff to recycle while emptying bins weekly. Elementary Student council also has already participated in a few service projects including: collecting and donating non-perishable items to Harvesters and making cards and visiting a nursing home. This spring, we are also planning to volunteer at Ronald McDonald House and donate items as well. In addition, the students will be helping organize and make the yearbook.
