I am the 4th/5th Grade Sheltered ELL teacher, and my name is Paige Rahman. This is my 20th year teaching, and my 11th year teaching ELL at this school. Before coming to KCIA, I taught 4th grade for 7 years on the tiny island of Saipan which is a part of the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Island near Guam in the Western Pacific Ocean. I also taught Special Education in Richmond, MO, and 3rd Grade ELL in KCMO School District. I am married and have two children–Jacob, 14, and Rylee, 10. My husband is from Bangladesh, and I met him when we lived on Saipan. Traveling is a very big part of my life. I have traveled all over Europe, Asia, and the Pacific, as well as the United States, but raveling to the beach is always welcomed. My son is in Boy Scouts, and I am the leader of my daughter’s Girl Scout troop. I love doing crafts, sewing, scrapbooking, camping, and watching movies. My kids and I also volunteer in the KC Pet Project Petco Cat Habitats each week. I love this school, especially my students!!! I am excited about another GREAT year at KCIA!
