My name is Maaya Amin, and this will be my sixth year teaching at KCIA. I graduated from UMKC with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction for Early Childhood Education, and have recently acquired a TESOL certification. This year brings many new changes for me, and I am looking forward to learning and growing alongside my students. My passion for learning is rooted in helping students gain foundational skills, both academically and social-emotionally, to support future learning. Early education is an important part of student growth and success; I am honored to be a part of the journey in setting a strong foundation for my students. In my spare time outside of teaching I enjoy crafting, cooking/baking, traveling, exploring new things, catching up on TV shows, spending time with my loved ones!
